    Good value... So far

    The modem was purchased and received in a very timely manner. It had a few minor blemishes on the unit but since it was a refurbished unit, I had no complaints with the cosmetics. It was easy to set up with the telephone assistance of a Comcast tech. The unit came complete with the hardware minus instructions. I downloaded an operating manual for reference. The selling price was fair compared to other modems being offered by eBay that would be compatible to the net gear unit I purchased. It works great and does was it was advertised to do. I hope I will get the longevity out of the modem with no technical issues.

    CM500V best bang for buck with Voice

    If you require Voice via Comcast, with under say 500mbps, and have your own router, this version is perhaps the least expensive (<$50) & is well suited & actually provided a more reliable & higher download rate than the Arris DOCSIS 3.0 it replaced. Allowed free alarm system connection as well as voice phone line.

    Saves $180 a year on equipment rental

    Easy setup, works well for slower internet packages with Comcast. I only have the 300 megabyte package.IF you get the gigabyte package you cant get full performance with this one. It saves me $15 a month rental on their equipment.

    This modem fits my needs well seeing I only have fair internet service service from Comcast, need superior service from FiOS which is not available in our development. The product came in OEM packaging with all cables, looked new.
