"Frida's Fiestas" is a marvelous compilation of memories and recipes lovingly collected and shared by Guadalupe Rivera, the step-daughter of the late Frida Kahlo, who was truly a one-of-a-kind artist and general force of nature. The foods described in this beautifully photographed book is 100% Mexican. You'll find pre-Columbian and regional recipes as well as Spanish influenced favorites all presented on gorgeously painted traditional Mexican stoneware plates and platters and couched against the backdrop of Frida Kahlo's Indigo Blue House which is now a National Museum. This beautiful book is a loving tribute to the artist and her love of family, friends and any and every reason to celebrate. Frida's Fiestas book and recepies
I really like this book because it gave me insight in to the private life of Frida. The part in the book that talks about how she helped raise Diego's daughters when they were living with her was very touching,that the girl felt that Frida loved her showed how much she really loved Diego. I also liked to hear how she lived her everyday life,just like i live now. I have had a great love for Frida in the past this book made me love her more. Love FlorenceI really like this book because it gave me insight in to the private life of Frida.
