Excellent resource for new African Grey owners
I recently decided to purchase an African Grey from a reputable breeder. They recommended that I purchase and read this book in preparation for our new family member. The book is an excellent manual to consult for all aspects of the bird's care. The book contains information on the following topics: diet and nutrition, health, training, avoidance of bad behavioral developments, trouble shooting of common behaviors, appropriate reinforcements of good behavior, unique charactersitics and traits of this breed, play therapy, necessary care materials, appropriate cages and positioning in the household, maintenance, hazards, and even what to do if the African Grey gets lost. Everything you need to know about African Greys!!
This book tells you everything you need to know about African Greys. From how to pick which one to buy, to what kind of food to feed them, to dealing with their behaviors. My african grey was a bit anti-social and he used to bite a lot. However, after using some methods in this book he learned to be more lovable and social. I would recomend it to any african grey owner. The only thing that I didn't like too much was that it was a bit long but it covers everything so I guess it has to be that long.This book tells you everything you need to know about African Greys. it is an average book, kind of informative but i think needs more details about the parrots. over all it is not a bad book.
