      more work than its worth.

      This is a bad design on Fords part, the part is located outside of Steel and is very brittle, even replacements are just as brittle and are like dry spaghetti the part itself is a good replacement, but the labor to do this yourself is way more than its worth. it looks like a bolt on part, but you need to remove the quarterpaner glass, the inside trim and 6 rivets. I can see why people are just wrapping these in vinyl when they break.
