About this product

Product Information

This compilation from Bethesda Softworks contains two full expansion packs for the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 3. The third expansion, Fallout 3: Broken Steel finds gamers joining the Brotherhood of Steel in an effort to eradicate Enclave soldiers and supporters from the Capital Wasteland. Broken Steel raises the level cap to 30, regardless of what game-ending option players chose in Fallout 3, and the expansion features new armor, weaponry, and perks to acquire, as well as new enemies, including high-level ghouls, stronger super mutants, and more advanced Enclave soldiers.<br><br>"Point Lookout" is set in a dark, murky swampland along the Maryland coast, and offers an open-ended environment in which players can explore a dilapidated beachfront area, search an expansive mansion, or simply trudge through the extensive miasmal bog. The expansion includes new weapons to acquire, new quests to undertake, new monsters to battle, and new perks and achievements to unlock.

  • If you are a casual gamer/computer user, stick to Fallout 3 or New Vegas...

I have been a fan of the Fallout games since I played the first one many years ago. When I heard that Fallout 3 was coming out, I was excited and ran out and snached the first copy that was brought out of the box at my local Wal-Mart on October 28, 2008 at 12:00 Midnight. Since then, I have played all of the Fallout games, and own quite a collection of Fallout merchendise. HOWEVER, I have yet to play any of the add ons because little to my knowledge, one must seemingly have to have a degree in computer programing in order to upload these things to any working order onto thier hard drive. I own not only this one, but also The Pitt, and Operation Anchorage add on disk, as well as the Fallout 3 Game of the year edition with these add on packs included. Same story, I can NOT play them because ...

  • Add-on's that are well worth the money

Unlike the last two Add-on&apos;s for Fallout 3 (The Pitt &amp; Operation:Anchorage) Broken Steel and Point Lookout are much more story driven and add much more to the overall game. Broken Steel picks up where Fallout 3 left off, your character awakens two weeks later to continue the adventure through the D.C. ruins. Clean water is now in abundance but not all is as it seems. The level cap has be upped from 20 to 30. New weapons, armor and locations along with a good story make for an add-on you don&apos;t want to miss. Point Lookout is set in Point Lookout, Maryland and like The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, can be beaten before finishing the main quest in Fallout 3. Point Lookout is a vast, lush enviroment with quite a few surprises. This is by far the toughest add-on ...
