I wasn't planning to start this book until our following school year so I haven't picked it up to read with my kids but they can't put it down, they love it! I love that there are Christian scientists that my kids can look up to and learn from as they learn about a subject they love as it developed in history and without sacrificing our biblical stance but further strengthening it. The material seems very thorough and I am looking forward to using it this school year. The experiments are simple and the explanations clear. It is written from a Christian worldview by the man who wrote the Apologia curriculum. I'd recommend looking at YouTube reviews of this curriculum if you want to get a better idea of what it's like. It does reference a notebook that is for older and oldest student in higher grades, so just something to be aware of. The elementary grades don't require a notebook, although it may be useful for the one teaching to have an idea of what is being retained.
