Neat little laser
This is a great little laser. It's easy to get working, focused, and meets my needs for my project. After trying it, I ordered a second one. If, for some reason, I need another one, I'd happily order one. I do STRONGLY recommend protective eye wear. This thing is BRIGHT. I am referring to the reflection off what ever surface you are pointing it on to. Make sure there are no kids around when using it. Think more, "invisible bandsaw" and less "laser pointer to play with my cats". It is powerful.This is a great little laser. It's easy to get working, focused, and meets my needs for my project. Please Use Protective Eyewear
Now that the safety warning is out of the way, I'll say that these diodes perform exactly as promised. They need a lot of heat sinking for continuous-beam applications, but the included heat sink is adequate for pulsed or short-duration continuous use. The light from the module I purchased is potentially damaging to eyes even when reflected off surfaces of hundreds of feet away.
