About this product

Product Information

When the corpse of a Russian is hauled from the oily waters of Havana Bay, Arkady Renko comes to Cuba to identify the body. Looking for the killer, he discovers a city of faded loneliness, unexpected danger, and bewildering contradictions. His investigation introduces him to a beautiful Cuban policewoman; to the rituals of Santeria; to an American fugitive and a group of ruthless mercenaries. In this place where all things Russian are despised, where Hemingway fished and the KGB flourished, where the hint of music is always in the air, Arkady finds a trail of deceit that reaches halfway around the worldand a reason to relish his own life again.

Tracking number didn’t work which was a bit of a pain but item came earlier than expected. The item was packaged very well. Being a record it’s hard to be perfect quality considering its age but was as good and exactly as presented by seller. Overall good experience and would buy from seller again!

  • Not bad but still plodding.

Average might be little bit high. This was just my third Martin Cruz book. My introduction was Gorky Park followed by Polar Star. Loved them both. Havana Bay, however, doesn't equal either. Plodding. Oh my, is it ever. Not a bad book. But if you like page turners this isn't one of them. If you're into Russia and the intrigue of their politics and methods of investigation and interrogation read Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith. Very, very good.

  • Good book!! :)
