    TiVo. It's not a Cult. Really.

    Utilizes Cable company supplied CableCard so you don't have to put up with their user interface. Used TiVo for over 20 years and wouldn't use anything else.

    Pointless

    I clearly didn't do my homework on this unit, because the "+" in its name is actually a minus: it only works with a cable system, and I bought it to aid in cord-cutting, but the monthly TiVo schedule fee is greater than what my old cable supplier rented their own DVRs for, so even if I still had cable this unit would be pointless.

    If you can find any TiVo machine, whether for cable or OTA, buy it!

    I have owned a TiVo Roamio OTA for many years. This is an upgrade and addition to my line. The product is good. Unfortunately TiVo does not manufacture much equipment anymore. Customer service and technical support leaves a lot to be desired but the products are solid. I have never needed their support.
