Although i was denied a .33 cent cut offer from this seller, I hope he don't take it too hard. I guess I shoulda offered an extra .33 cent to see if he woulda pounced! I bought the book anyway and even with the almost $5. shipping (and handling?!) fee, I am VERY PLEASED with the price and was happy to see it was well packaged for its trip from Baton Rouge LA to the District of Columbia. Thanks a million, Katana Comics!

I realize your review was tongue in cheek, and I appreciate your humor. However, for those who don't get it, my postage charge of $5.00 covered $4.13 in postage to USPS and 2 mailers (inner and outer) that cost me $1.91 total. Thus total "handling" + postage cost me $6.04. That is the reason I could not accept the 33 cent of offer on a $3.33 book. Thanks for loosening your purse strings and buying it any way. You are always welcome to come back and shop!

  • I like sci-fi 1st encounter aliens books.

There are many, but no others that I've read, hit with sudden humour like Scalzi's does. His first book, and I continued to read all I could get. This has a mixed bag in it; aliens, a Hollywood connection, the stars, a dog dies,( he was old and left painlessly), smells, secrecy, the holocaust, medical emergencies, and sudden humour galore ! Bought copies for other people. BIG AAA+++ eh.

  • Agent to the Stars

This is the first book Mr. Scalzi wrote and it was excellent. I found myself smiling, chuckling, and laughing out loud throughout the entire book. Until reading Mr. Scalzi's various novels, I never knew science fiction could be so funny. If you read this book and like it, you should also like his "Old Mans War" series and also "The Androids Dream".
