It was super dusty somehow and I was worried about dust on and in the glass and how I could remedy it, the *lens rear cap was different than the one pictured* and the *front cap was slightly damaged* also not described in post but was helped. Claims to strive for customer satisfaction and means it!

    Gorgeous IQ, worth the price

    This lens makes it worth switching to the entire new system just by itself. Paired it with the R and wow is it good. Newborn shots are incredible, and the mirrorless system not needing Micro AF adjustment is spectacular. Pros: IQ is out of control (so good). With new RF system, much easier to nail the focus (compared to my experience with an 85 1.2 and a 5d3) Bokeh is gorgeous AF is much better (faster and more accurate) than EF 1.2's (50 and 85) Cons: HEAVY. The lens weighs more than the R by itself. Am considering getting the grip just for this lens and for balance It's larger than the EF equivalent, but that was expected given the amount of glass in this lens. Conclusion: once again, it's worth dealing with the quibbles of the RF system just for this lens alone. That's crazy high ...

    A Stellar Performer in Canon's Line of RF Lenses

    Canon RF lenses are absolutely terrific, especially this 50mm f1.2, which is sharper wide open and has more contrast than the EF version. I wavered between buying the EF, the RF and Sigma's f1.4 to pair with my EOS R, and finally decided on the RF based on the many rave reviews it has received. Since I've owned it I have not been disappointed at all despite my very high expectations, and I cannot wait to start traveling again so that I can use this and my other RF lenses more often.

    Very sharp sublime bokeh, best 50mm ever!

    This lens paired with an EOS R series is a powerhouse. Very fast and sharp. The bokeh has a very sublime quality where the background just melts away, nothing compares. No regrets with this lens, highly recommended versatile lens.

    Husband points

    I bought this for my wife. She loves it. It is her new go-to lens. I received ten thousand husband husband points which I could cash in or save up for valuable prizes. I chose to save them up for later. But then I left a big mess in the kitchen where ants were involved. And all the points went away. To all husbands: SPEND YOUR POINTS!
