Product (DVD movie) was in usable condition with case and cover intact. Loved this movie. Michael J. Fox, what's not to like! Mummy's, ghosts, possession and serial killers... Never gets old.

The Frighteners DVD is frighteningly good.
Chances are, you've already seen the movie and are wondering if it's worth a DVD purchase. The answer is a resounding yes. This was my first chance to see the widescreen version of the movie and it really looks great, but the real winning thing here is the special features. There's around 3 hours of Peter Jackson, Micheal J. Fox, and the rest of the cast talking about the movie. You will keep hearing them refer to LaserDisc, as all this footage is from before DVD's existed, but Peter had the foresight to think people would be interested in the "How things were done" aspect of the movie. There are lots of deleted scenes, how they did the special effects, etc. I was extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoy a quirky horror/comedy movie.Chances are, you've already seen the movie and are wondering if it's worth a DVD purchase. Peter Jackson's first big budget film, definitely enjoyable!
Really well made movie. It had some plot twists that I wasn't expecting, and whenever a film explores its own universe so intelligently and still keeps one step ahead of the audience, that's always refreshing. Peter Jackson was just getting into his in-depth documentary/bonus feature mode here, and the extras are fantastic. Originally done for laser-disc, they translate well to DVD. Solid performances, fledgling effects that still hold up fairly well, great writing and directing. I got it for just a few bucks and got several nights' escapism from it. Money well spent!Really well made movie. Information overload in extras in regular DVD. Original movie in HD.
This gem is overloaded with hours of extras on the making of this film, including a "director's cut" version. Beware that the copy of the "original theatrical release" version is in HD, and if you are behind in techo equipment as I - you will not be able to play this disc. Comes in two discs, the HD version of movie, and a double sided disc with all the extras and the director's cut that can be played on old regular DVD players.
