Larry David's post-SEINFELD career continues apace with the fourth season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. The concept for the show--which sees David playing himself as he attempts to undertake various creative projects, while frequently landing in hugely entertaining trouble wherever he turns--was highly original when CURB first aired. But by the time the Fourth Season aired, imitators were waiting in the wings, as celebrities such as Kirsty Alley (FAT ACTRESS) and Lisa Kudrow (THE COMEBACK) honed their own, similar shows. Undeterred, David manages to breath new life into the formula, even producing one of the best episodes yet in "The Car Pool Lane." Incredibly, this episode, which saw the beleaguered star attending a Dodgers game with a prostitute so he could travel in the car-pool lane, ended up overlapping with a real-life court case. The CURB team caught a murder suspect, Juan Catalan, on camera during the game, with their footage eventually proving his innocence in the case. One of the main themes of the show involves David's attempts to avoid tension at all costs while unwittingly landing himself in it, making the incident enjoyably ironic. Further adventures see our hapless hero attempting to buy medicinal marijuana and attending Ben Stiller's birthday, while his long-suffering wife Cheryl Hines and manager Jeff Garlin reach new levels of exasperation at David's behavior. This Season is tied together by a long-running plot which sees David preparing for a role in a Broadway production of THE PRODUCERS, with the final episode shot on opening-night in New York City. Providing a deliciously funny climax to David's fourth series of adventures, fans of the show will no doubt be delighted to know that nothing goes according to plan.

    Season 1-8 great laughs with Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" episodes.

    I love every season of Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 1 thru 8. I'll pass on getting Season 9 which I thought was awful. Larry David had taken years off after finishing Season 8 but his humor i felt missed the boat in Season 9. I usually laugh during every episode he writes but with Season 9 felt he hit the mark in just one episode of the 10 he wrote. Oh well, beggars can't be choosy.

    Curb Your Enthusiasm: "It's all a matter of perspective." Curb Your Enthusiasm is a fantastic trip starring Larry David (writer for Seinfeld) who trips and stumbles through life one step at a time... uncovering many of the bizarre issues we face in our day to day life. The best part about Curb Your Enthusiam is that there is a little Larry David in each of us - it is difficult to watch the show and not find yourself relating to the situations, characters, and especially to Larry. Curb Your Enthusiam is an HBO show and is done without a true script - while the actors plan the basic plot, the lines are improvised and it creates a more free form show and dialouge - all adding to the humor.     There's no curbing my enthusiasm for the 4th Season

    I have been a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm's Larry David since the Seinfeld days. As the co-creator and writer of one of televisions biggest syndicated series this hilarious middle-aged man has done it again with Curb Your Enthusiasm (seen on HBO). Bringing in huge stars like Ben Stiller and David Schwimmer, as well as comedy icon Mel Brooks, add an excitement to the fourth season that is undeniably one of most desirable comedies of all time. With every episode ending, the anticipation for the next is almost unbearable. Luckily with the DVD set you don’t have to wait!     Larry David Strikes Again

    Once again, another hillarious season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" with Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld. This season sees Larry through the rehearsal process of being a new lead in Mel Brooks (who also guest stars throughout the season) musical The Producers; and he does not dissappoint! Larry is hillarious, and every year his mannerisms and social in-propriety is pushed to higher, funnier extremes. I would highly reccomend this season for any avid viewer, as well as those new to the show. A great buy and a good laugh, all in one package. Have fun!
