good book for basics and for beginners but will leave you wanting more.
This is a pretty good book. It has a lot of basic defensive techniques for law enforcement. Of course, if you are actually working in law enforcement, be sure and check these techniques against your policy and procedures guidelines. The only complaint that I had, personally, is that some of the stuff in here is a little dated. If policy permits, there are some better moves that can be found in aikido books and other law enforcement books such as Defensive Tactics by Loren W. Christensen. All around, for the newcomer to law enforcement, corrections, or just self defense, this is a good read that can usually be obtained at a relatively low price.This is a pretty good book.
