Saitek AV8R-02 joystick
I bought this to use with my xbox 360 for games like Birds of Steel, etc. I originally bought the Damage Inc Collectors Edition which came with the game and another version of this joystick (Pacific AV8R). The main difference between the two are the shape of the stick. The Pacific AV8R has a pistol grip shaped stick and the AV8R-02 has a more traditional round shaped stick. As I have had hand surgery in the past, the diamond texture of the pistol grip of the Pacific AV8R actually caused me some pain when using it so I had to give up on it. The AV8R-02 is lot more comfortable in my hand and is listed in the default settings of the game which I intended to use it (Birds of Steel) where the Pacific AV8R isn't. They both share the same good and bad characteristics otherwise. They are both ... Becuase they are so light, the tightness of the spring action forces you use one hand to keep the stick under control while using it. Maybe over time as the spring action loosens up this will become less of a problem. Performance wise it is fine, and as I am left handed there are not a lot of other alternative joysticks available for the xbox 360. They are both still available on ebay in different versions for PC, xbox, and PS, though the AV8R-02 is harder to find than the other versions.

Haven't been able to use it because it has a round plug and my Xbox 360 has a USB slot, no round plug in it. Can't find an adaptor either. Had to buy a different Xbox flight stick that has a USB on the cord.

The joystick is a pleasure to use with many switches , triggers and knob that can be assigned to operate almost anything used in flying . I use it to operate the Elite Simulator home version and it has enough switches to take care of every function of a single engine high performance aircraft as well as rudder/steering by twisting the control stick .
