Clint has come much older, but as he ages, he becomes even better! I now have 33 films in my movie library - from 1964 to 2018. Most of them I rate a 5/5, this one of that.

PLOT: 1962 3 CONS decide it it is time to leave Alcatraz~ and have an excellent idea HOW to do it~ EASTWOOD gem~ Clint Eastwood FUN~~ GREAT MOVIE~ entertaining AND BASED on real life ESCAPE plot FRANK NORRIS (EASTWOOD) with "superior" IQ is put in the 'ONE PERSON' to a cell ~ Rock of Alcatraz~ Warden is pompus Patrick MacGoohan has "all the BAD eggs in his basket'~ all in to kill TIME and OR each other~ the EVERY day violence and BOREDOM is part of the plot and time is what they have to plan~ and when the decaying cement and a spoon give Morris (EASTWOOD) the time and means to DIG the escape is started~but he joined by 2 Anglin brothers ~ from the carefully made DUMMY heads made with paper mache and the REAL hair obtained from the BARBER shop ~~~the fun and amazing "scheme" emerges~ ... Escape from Alcatraz
After being sent to the nations toughest prison for life, career criminal Frank Morris played by Clint Eastwood (Gran Torino, Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, Absolute Power, etc) quickly starts planning his unauthorized departure. Enlisting two bank robber brothers played by Fred Ward (Uncommon Valor, Tremors, The Wild Stallion, 10.5, etc) and Jack Thibeau as accomplices, Morris meticulously works out every detail before commencing their daring escape attempt. The movie is based on an actual occurrance and director Don Siegel puts together a great movie that is based on the only known successful jailbreak from the infamous island penitentiary. Siegel has worked well with Eastwood in the past on many movies (Dirty Harry, Coogans Bluff, Two Mules For Sister Sara, etc) and did his best ...
