About this product

Product Information

Promoted as the final release in the series, Onimusha 3: Demon Siege looks to surpass its predecessors in areas such as gameplay, art, and technology, to become the premier installment of the Onimusha series on the PS2 console. Reprising his voice-acting role as the lovelorn samurai Samanosuke Akechi is Takeshi Kianeshiro. Joining him is renowned French actor Jean Reno, best known for his roles in The Professional, Big Blue, and La Femme Nikita. <br><br>The game opens at the Honnoji Temple. Samanosuke continues to battle the demons in his path until the moment finally comes when standing before him, ready for battle, is the undead Warlord Nobunaga Oda. However, before this epic clash can begin, Samanosuke suddenly disappears. <br><br>The year is now 2004. An otherwise peaceful French metropolis finds itself under attack by demons. Unleashing an unimaginable horror, the Genma demons go on to slaughter civilians and soldiers, one by one. From out of this fury appears a French soldier who stands up against the Genma demons, Jacques Braun (Jean Reno). Deployed to this scene of carnage, Jacques quickly finds himself surrounded by hellish enemies. Then, in the distance, an ancient samurai warrior inexplicably appears, to help fight off the demons and save the city.<br><br>The two begin slaying demons together, until Jacques is suddenly caught in a mysterious vortex, eerily familiar to Samanosuke, and is transported to feudal Japan, leaving behind Samanosuke in modern-day France. The question now stands, why has Samanosuke appeared in present day France, and Jacques in Feudal Japan?<br><br>As players attempt to make sense of this strange scenario in the beginning of the game, many advancements and new technologies may also come to their attention. For the first time, fully 3D backgrounds are featured, and dynamic camera angles add a sense of depth during battle scenes. New environments have been added, including Paris landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Arc De Triumph, though also included are familiar backdrops such as Anshi Castle and Honnoji Temple. <br><br>Powerful swords, capable of destroying enemies with one blow, are available, along with new weapons that add additional challenges. A whip weapon, unique to the Jacques Braun character, is handy for combat situations as well as exploration. With its ability to latch on to objects, players can use the whip to swing across various platforms and access new areas.

The item is exactly as pictured by the seller. I reached out with a question and received a quick response. It was also posted at a reasonable price, and upon inspecting after it was received, I've found it to be in an excellent condition! I purchased these 2 rings from this seller (as pictured) and both are very beautiful! I highly recommend this seller! Both items arrived to my address quicker than expected. I will definitely purchase more items from this seller again in the near future!

    Onimusha 3 Demon Siege Review

So if you have played onimusha 1 and 2 and are looking for the next thing in that line to fill your satisfaction for you, this will be the one you want. If you have played Onimusha Dawn of Dreams, however, I wouldn't move to this game next as it will feel like a major downgrade. I'll keep it simple and do a pros and cons. Pros: Unlike 1 and 2 you get two characters to control, though you still control them at separate times, (pun intended) Both characters function differently enough to be compelling There is a new mechanic called Ako vests which are a majorly awesome upgrade on how to play, though they function similarly to the necklaces in 2 but with more variety to their effects. At a certain point you can warp across characters and use a store system to transfer items, in case you are ...

  • Onimusha 3 Demon Siege -Review by seishomori

I've been a long time Onimusha fan ever since I picked up the first one that came out for Playstation 1 several years ago. I've always liked the highly detailed graphics, and more importantly, the unique and original storyline and character concepts. Onimusha 3: As the game begins you start right off the bat by being hurled into the middle of combat! An exciting way to start the game off! You gradually during the fights learn the basic controls: movement, blocking, using your sword, shooting the arrows with your bow and the Demon Gauntlet which absorbs the souls of Demons (and when the right number is reached Samanosuke transforms into Onimusha)! The game starts off at a fair difficulty level, what threw me off for a loop was when Samonosuke gets transported into THE FUTURE IN PARIS, ...

  • A couple hours of fun

After playing Onimusha 3, there are several readily apparent good and bad qualities to the game. The gameplay was good, although comparing it to games like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden especially, it's not the best. The story, although containing some interesting quirks, like being able to affect puzzles in the present by changing something in the past, isn't all that interesting. The emotional "side story" between Henri and Michelle (Jean Reno's character's son and wife-to-be) is too predictable and had me bored. However, the character designs and backgrounds were well-detailed for a ps2 game, and the music, while predictable, was well-done. Although I've done not much besides nit-pick, I'm going to finish by saying that this was, as my rating suggests, a good game. If you've already ...

  • Review: Onimusha 3: Demon Siege

playing onimusha 3 may feel like seeing a classical movie for the first time. it seems so cliched that it makes you wonder what makes this game so great. until you realize that this is one of those movies where the cliches started. many hack n' slash games (i.e. DMC and ninja gaiden) all have some mechanics that root back to the onimusha series. and since onimusha 3 is a sequal to this series it risks seeming very cliche itself. but if you don't let the old-hat style of gameplay bother you, then onimusha 3 well serves it's purpose as a sequal by improving on the first two games. capcom truly shows their skills with the polygonal backgrounds that can literally stand toe-to-toe with a beautiful prerendered environments. the gameplay in onimusha 3 can vary depending on how you play the game. ...

  • A Frenchman in a Samurai Game?

A hack and slash with an RPG like story? Impossible? Not with this game. This is a phenominal game that combines survival horror with a hack and slah of a ninja game with a comples story line and CGI movies of an RPG. You MUST get this game if you are a fan of arcade style hack and slash and love RPG's. The only weird thing is you get to control a Frenchman as you jump back and forth through time. As if spending time to power up one person isn't enough... now you have to power up both.
