This internal enterprise 7200RPM SATA hard drive is energy efficient to help your home or office run smoothly. Seagate made sure that you get the 2TB you need to store all your information in a small form factor. If you're looking for drives for an SAS operation, then this is a great fit. The drive maximizes the data center footprint, offering as much as 766TB per square foot. Assemble several hard disk devices together serially, as the Seagate ST32000644NS supports RAID striping. It's the right weight for installation in racks for use with web servers. In addition, it supports the BIOS used in both Dell and HP computers, allowing for use in most desktops where it can physically fit. In addition to the Dell BIOS, Seagate ST32000644NS hard drive units support Apple UEFI boots. Seagate Constellation drives support the HFS+ file system, allowing you to install OS X on them if you have the proper SATA driver disk. The ST32000644NS supports the APFS file system too, which makes your Constellation hard drive fully compatible with Mac iOS Sierra. Use the unit for storing video data to watch a number of movies in high definition, or download gaming software and engage in hours of competition with friends near and far. The fast data transfer rate is your warranty against lagging if you're a competitive gamer. The 7200RPM rotational speed keeps data flowing freely to and from these drives at 3GB per second.     Storage and cache size, reliable transfer speeds with low noise and temperatures

    64MB Cache size helps maintain consistently fast transfer speeds. Does not seem to run hot to the touch, like other hard disc drives. Good build quality, has proven reliable under different configuration demands.

    Dead on arrival, worthless.

    Produce was Dead on Arrival. Does not work. Will not power up, drive doesn't spin up. I've tried it on different computers and different known-working interfaces. No dice. Worthless.

    Works great!

    Works great but is a little louder than I anticipated. A good buy for the price! {Please note: if you're reading this review and the excess noise gives you cause for concern, don't worry. It is louder because it's a business drive for applications like data centers, so there's no acoustic canceling. I just didn't realize it when I bought it}
