Everything, from start to finish, was perfect with this purchase. The price was great, the communication with the seller was fast and concise, the product is exactly as described and was packaged securely, and the shipping was fast. I'm talking blazing fast; Tokyo to Edmonton in 4 days. That's... 82km/h from the time of purchase to my door. I will 100% be doing business with this company again when I upgrade my zoom lenses next year. Thanks!

  • nothing but excellent regarding this device. for digital imaging, the best dslr out there

this is the second one i've owned. needed this for a back up to my leica monochrom and my other nikon df body. the df is excellent. colour results, in raw, are consistant and the controls are simple and easily understood. build quality allows me to use this device in inclement weather - rain, snow, winter temperatures without any difficulty. the 50mm 1.8g lens has excellent optics and build quality. not particularly pleased with the lack of aperture ring on the lens. that is a definate inconvenience for me. all of my other af nikkors have aperture rings on them. i would not purchase another "g" lens for that very reason. outside of the nikon f6 film camera body, which i also use, the df is the most perfect iteration of a single lens digital imaging device.

  • Nikon Df

The Nikon Df is a excellent camera inspired by the early generation film cameras. Built with their flagship D4 sensor with high iso sensitivity. So if you want a camera at nearly half the cost and half the weight of a D4, this is for you. According to Nikon, the 'F' in Df stands for 'fusion' - specifically, fusion of the old [film] and the new. We know all about the old - the 'retro' styling - which leaves us with the 'D'. This of course stands for 'Digital'. I can see why professional photographers got excited about this camera. I only wish I had bought it sooner.

  • Probably the best DSLR take on a classic film SLR

It's the best body for vintage Nikon lenses with a modern digital sensor. The control behavior can be a bit tricky and counterintuitive, but it's also true to classic cameras like the F4. The D3 16MP sensor renders beautifully and does very well in low light. The 50/1.8 G lens is no slouch either. It's more modern that its looks, but also quite a good lens all around.

  • If you want a digital that feels like shooting film, this is your camera!

As a long time Nikon film and digital shooter (1982 Nikon FE2 was my first camera), my first love will always be my Nikon film cameras and how they felt in my hands. I've had quite a number of cameras in my personal and professional life since. From Nikons, Yaschicas, Rolleiflex, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Pentax, Leica, Canon and more. Digital life started for me in 1995 using a very slow Leaf system to shoot product, then in 1999 I got a small canon powershot. By the early 2000's DSLRs were better and I bought a D70, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, then a D300 before retiring temporarily from the business. I wanted to get back into a pro system and had seen the Df several years ago when they first were announced but felt like the price was a bit high. This year I lucked into a demo model for a ...

  • Highly recommended little masterpiece!

Expensive new in 2013. A great deal now. Perfect for anyone who knows film SLRs from any decent maker back in the 60's to the 90's and who wants the best quality available, especially if you have older ai or even non ai lenses. It works with everything back to the 50's, performance is stellar and quality is very high. People with negative comments about this camera have pre conceived ideas and little idea what they're talking about. Highly recommended little masterpiece!
