Big difficulty getting phone Paired to base- could not do it
The phone came to me well packaged and quickly.. I powered up the phone base and phone for a couple days . I looked in the instruction book I have and several places on the internet for the pairing procedure between the phone and base. Things seemed to go ok per the instruction until the actual pairing process started. I tried many times but I always got the message " no power on base" but indeed my base station was plugged in and my other 4 identical phones all worked fine. I also got a message to place the phone on the base station to provide power to the base. This system has a max of 6 phones. I Spent well over an hour and read a couple remedies for the for the "no power on base" issue, but still was unable to pair the phone with the base. I will try it again some day before I ... pairing instructions for KG-tga860s, decent voice qual
This is a decent phone. Honestly I have never seen the equal in voice quality to my old 2.4 ghz pre-DECT uniden cordless (which I used for 20 years) but this thing is OK. I like the headset jack, the great battery life, and the fact that there is no protruding antenna. Here are the pairing instructions. Power up the handset, Press menu, press the up arrow on the center 4-way key until "initial setting" pops up, select initial setting and press up arrow until "registration" pops up. It will tell you to hold the intercom locator button (on the base) for 5 seconds, and then I believe you will be all set or you will get more instructions. Like you I googled around for these instructions and did not find them. I just bumped into the procedure by looking around in the top-level menu and ... This is a decent phone.
