    Expensive but totally worth the money...

    This little thing is a life changer for me for making frames for miniature paintings. 50+ strong strokes with a hand saw is now zzzip! The only complaint I have is the fact that you can SO easily forget to change the proximity of the blade to the vice when changing the size of the piece you're cutting. I cut a big ol' chunk of metal out of the vice the very first day. Thankfully it's still perfectly usable with (amazingly) no damage to the blade and I was wearing eye protection, but yeah. Other than that it's totally worth every penny. (c:

    Very limited usefulness.

    If the saw would have been with 1/4" more opening it could have been used to saw 1" I.D. material. As it is it can only cut material with a 1" O.D. This limits its usefulness quite a bit. It is likely headed for Habitat for Humanity because I have no use for it as it was designed. It does seem to have built with good quality standards. If you only need a chop saw for material up to an outside diameter of 1" this will work for you. Although most of the world uses many materials with an Inside dimension of 1" and a wall thickness of 1/8" or better which sizes the material too big to be used in this machine.

    High Quality and Really Does the Job

    Quality is outstanding as is true of most Proxxon tools. And it really does the job. Makes it possible to precisely trim very small items (like 3mm brass tube) cleanly and safely.

    For me the product proforms as it should. I think improvements can be made to the cut off side. The recess or hole should have some kind of filler so a sacrifice piece of wood does not have to used for a clean cut.
