    Better than Garmin.

    We are former Garmin users, but were disenchanted with our last GPS. Bought this Magellan, and were able to use it immediately, with no prior experience. We have had 2 situations, where the building number was improperly sited, so that the location was on the opposite side of the street, but basically it has been quite accurate. We have noticed it recalculates very quickly so that if we make a mistake, we are quickly redirected. In general, we are very pleased with the product.

    Not simple

    This is the first GPS I've ever owned. I'm 68 and found it confusing to use. In my opinion the software designers have it ass backwards. Instead putting in the address like normal the unit asks for the city first, then gives you suggestions which I Hate. It always gives me a state I don't want and it is confusing figure out how to get the correct state. If it was more expensive that annoying feature would have been the deal breaker and I would have sent it back. Also, I entered an address and never finished the trip. The unit locked up and would not accept any input until I went 10 or more miles. The company didn't know what the problem was, I am not happy about that also.

    A fine product that for the money is an excellent buy.

    This is an excellent product for a large vehicle. The 7" screen is too large in my opinion for the average car, but is great for SUVs. Magellan is very inconsistent with their software and from GPS to GPS there are many discrepencies....some good some not so good. I have learned to live with them since I started with them. I have not used another brand so I have no way to compare,but if you believe Consumer Reports Garmin is supposed to be the best of them all. The one thing I have found is that no matter the inconsistencies the GPS 99 percent of the time will get you to your destination...not always the best way!!!

    This is the second Magellan I have used in about 11 years. I really like the screen size and all of the features this g p s has to offer. it's very easy to use.

    good size for an elderly couple

    It is a large (7" ) screen. Good instructional book, and easy to command. Bought a refurbished unit at an excellent price with a warranty and am very pleased.
