    Just the right size unit, works great

    Packing of this VHS recorder/player was really well done, unit arrived safely, no damage. I did not realize that there was no remote control, however, it was not advertised, so it was my oversight. I will be able to obtain one on my own.

    Not worth 200 dollars but i was desperate and could not take a chance on another used unit. The first one bought was used and tore up tapes.

    Very pricy for the quality or should I say lack there of. It does what I needed it to do, there are no frills but it does play, rewind, fast forward, and stop tapes. Super basic and I do mean basic.

    Poor quality construction

    For many years, I have purchased this particular model because the main buttons are easily accessible for my special needs sons to operate manually. After some usage the buttons wear down causing them to sink into the face plate. The face plate, buttons and inner rack are plastic and not a part that can be replaced without some 'glue' that will once again support and hold the buttons in place. It also has a tendency to eat tapes and makes lots of noise after continuous use. VHS tapes must be in good condition before playing as most will snag and break. It is loud as it fast forwards and rewinds and make a definite 'clunk' sound when it stops. There are many other VCR's that are better quality.and will last much longer.

    Defective unit

    The new unit arrived dead on arrival. the Play, FF, Rewind and Eject buttons on the unit did absolutely nothing. The only way I could get my tape out of the machine was with the remote. The Play, FF, Rewind buttons on the remote also had no effect.

    I can't figure out how to hook it up

    I haven't been able to hook it up correctly to my TV yet so I don't know how well it will work. That's a problem with me (just can't figure it out!) not the product.
