Heavyweight movie with lots of action.
This is a very good movie that is based on a true story. Eduard Roschmann was a real war criminal whom Jon Voight was after. The plot is highly believableJon Voight is one of my favorite characters and he gives an outstanding performance here. And one good thing came out of this movie Eduard Roschmann was exposed and supposedly all the publicity from this exposure led to his assassination! The Odessa File based on Book by Frederick Forsyth
First, the film was based on an excellent book written by Frederick Forsyth. Second, the screenplay by Kennedth Ross and George Markstein was wonderful. Third, it was extremely well directed by Ronald Neame. And, last, but certainly not least, the cast is superb. Jon Voight heads that cast which comprises a wonderful group of international actors including Mary Tamm, Maximilian Schell, and Maria Schell. I can't name them all, but they are a solid ensemble. If all that isn't enough for you, Andrew Lloyd Webb did the nusic with a little of Perry Como thrown in. You won't feel you have wasted your time watching it.First, the film was based on an excellent book written by Frederick Forsyth.
