    Good upgrade from Athlon II X2 250

    I was running an AMD Athlon II X2 250 in my Windows 2010 Home Server since.... well 2010. I've had no issues with it, but saw this for a good price on eBay and figured why not. I figured going from a dual core 3.0 GHz CPU to a triple core 3.3 GHz for a low price, why not? I was able to unlock the fourth core at stock voltages on my MSI 870-G45 motherboard with no issues. I even ran a CPU burn in test and the CPU passed with no issues. It is a Propus core CPU that has had 1 core disabled. I've heard that some of these were Deneb core CPU's with one core and L3 cache disabled. This chip never had L3 cache. Unlocking was a pleasant surprise for me as I own a couple more CPUs that were potential candidates for unlocking that either didn't unlock, or didn't run stable after being ...
