      The good: so many movies and tv shows at your fingertips very easy to set up and begin using immediately remote is bluetooth so no more sensor trying to change channel from a distance, live tv and sports when available The bad: remote is small and easy to lose some movies and tv shows have limited sources to stream from so they can be a little choppy intial stream search takes some time to find quality sources but very little lag afterwards

      It is worth the price however, Sometimes the streaming stops so you have to restart the show. Also finding the program you want to watch is not easy. You have to go through a lot of the different apps that are loaded to get to what you want. Then when you try to click on it it takes time. You have to be patient. I have been watching movies and old tv shows. Have not been too successful with live TV. I would not give up "basic" cable if you like your favorite stations. I have been watching Downtown Abbey and often have to go back out and restart the stream. I have used the "Free" part with Kodi and that is where all the free apps are, but have to reload each time I want to watch. I have rented a program through Amazon that is easy.

      Amazon Fire TV Stick (1st Generation) Media Streamer.

      Exactly what I needed. This is the second 1st generation Fire Stick that I have purchased and it performs exactly as the first one does. Very simple to set up and easy to use. Actually bought this to add to a Samsung Smart TV which originally had YouTube but which later quit offering it. Thanks to an app now available on this Fire Stick, I am once again able to access YouTube and find it easier to just fire up the Fire Stick to watch Netflix and Hulu as well, rather than access them through the TV itself.

      Great product for expanding TV viewing options

      This is my second 1st generation Fire TV. I bought my first in 2014 from Amazon. The one I purchased on eBay was brand new, never been opened. Although the set up to my TV was very easy, getting it to run was not! The first problem I encountered was registration for which a phone call to Amazon support resolved this issue for me. The real issue was the software was the original dated back to 2014. I had a long visit with Amazon support to get this resolved since we had to step through each software revision released after what was original installed on my box. Other than these two set up problems the product is great and I am happily watching Amazon TV!!
