About this product

Product Information

The IOGEAR 2-Port USB Cable KVM allows users to share a VGA monitor, a USB mouse, and a USB keyboard between two computers. Users can switch between computers using the wired remote switch button that can be placed on your desk for convenience. It offers an out-of-box solution with no additional cables needed. It supports multiple operating systems including Windows, Sun, and Mac. It is entirely plug-n-play and requires no software to run. It is also powered through the USB bus and thus does not require a power supply to run. It is the ideal KVM for those who want a competitively priced, entry level KVM that will allow them to multitask with two computers at their disposal.

Works as well as it should

It's good. Kinda wished I could have gotten a USB 2 port switch that I liked, for cheap. This KVM has VGA switching that I don't use. I love the small remote switch but I wish the active computer LEDs were on the remote switch instead of the hub. Not perfect, but does the job well.

  • Can't imagine my office without it.

Work so well I bought another one. I suggest plugging all your USB devices into a powered hub then plug the hub into the kvm switch. Right now I have 6 devices, keyboard, mouse, printer, headphones, USB audio, etc, that are switchable between 4 computers. If you do it this way you only need to plug one USB cable into each machine. I always choose the wrong one. I rarely use all 4 ports so the unused cables are a pain but if I need to setup a new computer I will use all 4. Wish it was dvi or DP but then it would cost more. VGA works just fine even at 1080p.

  • IOGEAR KVM GCS22U

I run 2 computers at all times, an old XP Dell and a Mac Mini. My recent purchase was my 2nd GCS22U KVM. I wore the change button out but it otherwise still worked after 4+ years of active use. The new purchase was almost 1/2 the price of the first one. I was happy they are still available.

  • Solves all my problems

I can now run two computers easily...it is a miracle worker...I...I never knew life could be so easy...It worked immediately and was easy to install and hook up to two computers...

  • Nicely packaged KVM

Does not work well with ps/2 connection and adapter. Start up of computer with ps/2 connection requires immediate selection of that computer by the switch or the keyboard and mouse will not work with that computer. Monitor switching is not affected by the other problem.
