        Grat Canning Book

        I was a little nervous since I have never canned before but this book made it clear and concise and easy. I just canned my second batch of fruit jam and highly recommend this book great for beginners or seasoned canners.

        The essential Book of Canning and preserving.

        Fantastic canning and preserving book. my mother work out of one of these don't know exactly what year probably 1930's. I bought my first in 1972 and a newer on in 1980. have bought as gifts for daughter and son and this newest purchase was for sister as gift. I not only can but collect jars, and other canning memorabilia Love my double stack 1940' qt. canner. I'm always finding recipes I have not tried in the Ball book but there are many I've committed to memory. This is a great reference book for novices and for us old pro as well a welcome addition to any kitchen library.

        Great book to have for canning!

        I saw this in a store once before I started canning. When I did start canning, I couldn't find it. The issue is full of great recipes and ideas. It's thorough and helps you get a decent understanding for everything involved with canning food of all types. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in canning and even those of you that want some great ideas once you have a good handle on the subject.

        Wonderful new Canning and Preserving book ~

        We have two Ball books (the older blue ones that are probably now vintage). We love the new one with all it's instructions and wonderful recipes. It will certainly be well used as we have a very large garden and do a ton of canning.
