      Good product; good value

      I am writing a book with sophisticated language. It did not do well at first, but has become more accurate with continued use. The secret is slowing down slightly and speaking in two or three word bursts. When combined with Microsoft Word, it does pretty well, especially with the spell checker. I dictate two or three sentences and then proof what is being typed. I am quite glad I bought the product and am still learning how to use it.

      Extremely disappointing

      If it actually installed, I would love it. I've had it before on a previous laptop but this one -- that is compatible with my system - will simply not install. I put in the disk, entered the serial number, the InstallShield screen comes up and then nothing. I waited for 15 minutes. The progress bar never moved. And then I couldn't cancel the process. I actually had to open the drive to remove the disk to stop the process - that didn't seem to be working anyway. Nuance needs to work on the installation set-up. This was a waste of money.

      Fairly easy to use, very easy to install. Did not prompt me to set up an account so did have a little trouble going to website and figuring out how to register. Smooth sailing after that! Works as intended and pretty accurate compared to other dictation software I have used in the past.

      Easy to setup up and use

      I had a little trouble installing the program on a Windows 7 PC, but it was a problem with the PC not the program. You can even select what type of accent you have, to help with the accuracy. So far, I'm still having fun with it. I don't use it for business, just general use, so I don't use too many job specific words.

      Speak Easy

      I couldn't get the microphone to work without yelling. I strongly suspected the jack input at the rear of my computer as when it was plugged in the computer said it wasn't. It's an older machine so that may have been an issue. Anyway, I got a USB microphone, bypassing the jack and voila - it worked like a dream. It even opens Windows Live Mail by voice command and enters the dictated message. Couldn't be happier! I am on my fifth book for publication now and an injury to my shoulder necessitated this.
