    Here be monsters!

    Excellent re-imagining of Tsuro. Instead of paths, you place 'wakes' through the ocean. There are kaiju that appear on the map, move around, remove wake tiles, and sink ships. The board is smaller than Tsuro, requiring riskier moves. Dice determine starting tile for each kaiju, as well as how they move. Overall I find this version to be less strategic than Tsuro, due to the unpredictable kaiju, but more fun for the same reason.

    Good, but somewhat cumbersome

    For those who play Tsuro, Tsuro of the Seas is a welcome variation. The game adds Kaiju (big stompy monsters), and a host of calamities and safeguards, which refresh the board and add a more unpredictable element to the game. However, when played with small numbers of people, more Kaiju are placed on the board; the Kaiju begin to dominate the game and slow play. The fast, enjoyable Tsuro becomes incessant dice-rolling.
