    Great Show -- Low Resolution Copy

    It may well be that these discs represent the best transfers available without going to blurays, but the image quality is remarkably poor for DVDs -- especially in the first two seasons. (There is a minuscule improvement that frequently evaporates, in subsequent seasons.) Large pixels are ever present, as is a fuzzy digital 'gel' around moving objects. I'm always grateful when the director has chosen to use a closeup of an actor as this choice employs most of the screen to 'draw' the subject of the shot and thus, renders some detail. These problems are consistently present on both of my reasonably high quality screening venues. (80" Sharp AQUOS with Opo Bluray player in home theater; 46" Magnavox with Sony Bluray in bedroom.) A third setup which is an older CRT TV fed by a portable DVD ...

    The living and the dead together again

    I love the show - the action, storyline, and characters are engrossing and keep one's interest from one episode to the next. It has been fascinating to see what the world would look like if everything broke down, people were wiped out on a mega scale, and how the remaining few would try to survive and rebuild. Looking forward to seasons 6, 7, 8, and beyond. Highly recommended for entertainment, acting, and quality (they do not skimp on amazing make-up for the walkers).

    Season 5 Wake-up call!!!

    Wow so much going on in Season 5. Finally got a chance to see into the charactors so much more. Plus, Rick comes from Australia, I thought he was American. Wake up call, he is so good. A great range of acting from getting out of bed to his strong leadership skills in season 5. Love it.

    Best series EVER!!!!

    The Walking Dead is the most intense series on television. It has a story line that sucks you in from the very first episode. The characters are true to life, the " walkers" (zombies) are scary, the blood and gore is so realistic, if you didn't know it was a tv show, you may likely throw up. I am totally enthralled every time I watch this show. I hate it when the season ends and I have to wait months for the new one. If you do not LOVE this show, there is something WRONG with you. NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED. It is a heavy duty gorefest!!!!! You will love most of the characters and hate several of them too.
