Had to replace 4 of the 9 bolts, they were too short
FINALLY got the motor done and in, so I coated the Ram Air IV manifolds, pulled out these bolts and slid them into the manifolds...... bummer. 4 of the 9 bolts were not long enough. Bolts much engage in threads 1.5x their width to work properly, 1 was about the width and 3 others were far less. These manifolds are heavy and have a lot of pressure behind them, I’m not rolling the dice on that they’ll hold. Had to spend $10 at Ace Hardware for the replacements, making this kit way more expensive than it was worth. And, It’s not just the $10, it’s the hour inconvenience of driving over finding them and driving back. i won’t be buying any online products in the future.
