Has nothing to do with the seller, that was great. It has to do with the product. I already have this reader/writer that I bought at least 4 years ago. I wanted to get another one so I could clone emmc drives that I use for the Odroid XU4 with an emmc adapter for the R/R. The Transcend that I bought years ago works and continues to work great. The problem is that the new ones work for a few times than they fail. They still work fine cloning sd cards... and that's it.

    Great Value, Good Reader

    I needed a portable SD card reader. After reading a number of reviews, this Transcend reader looked like a good choice. While I haven't used it much yet, it works fine and seems fast. It's a great value.

    Fastest card reader at this price

    This is the fastest card reader at this price. Perfect choice, I have one disadvantage: it's made of a little cheap, seemingly fragile plastic, but works well after 4 years.

    Just what I needed

    I have an older digital camera, a Samsung TL110. I rarely use it, and it's like new. It uses Intelli-Studio to download pictures to my pc. I updated Intelli-Studio and after that could no longer download pics from the camera. Not being real tech savvy, I thought my camera would be useless, but read about card readers and bought this one. All I can say is it works great. Better than using Intelli-Studio. Easy to use, small, fast, has more than enough storage for what I do. A very nice buy.

    Nice and compact

    Well suited for travelling, as I don't have to bring along a card reader with cord. It's also suited for stationary PC's, provided that it has an USB-port that's easily accessible.

    Faster than my other readers

    Transfer rate using Crystal Benchmark on my fastest SD card 32 GB Samsung EVO SD card was 47 MB's read and 42 MB's write 50MB files) or 22MB's with larger 500MB files with this plugged into a USB 3.0 port. with a 64 GB SanDisk Ultra Plus I got 41 MB's read 23MB's write with 100 MB files and 81 MB's Read and 14 MB's write with 500 MB files. I suspect the poor write performance on the sandisk may have to do with USB 3.0 chip set on my 990FXA-UD7 motherboard. I read that the 3.0 port on this motherboard is unreliable with Transcend adapters, but not for sure. I am building another computer soon that will have a better 3.0 chipset and look forward to using this adapter on that computer. I don't need any other memory card types so this works great.
