It works. I takes a lot of pressure fir the platform to trigger, do not set light like a dillon item. I will machine more ends that go inside the case to sense powder level. (Did the same with my dillion sensor) I primarily load. 38sp and precision 9mm. IMO, not sure I would buy again. The item is entirely plastic l. I will also machine some additional parts to make this thing a bit more sturdy.

    Nice tool, but not perfect

This is a nice, well constructed and well engineered tool, but mine needing a little tweaking to operate correctly in small (.223) bottle neck shell cases. You will notice there are (2) plastic tips for the threaded rod included in the kit. The smaller of the two will not go into a .223 case neck. So that means that you have to use just the threaded rod with no tip on it. Since the 10/24 threaded rod is only .030 smaller than the .223's case neck opening it's very easy for the sharp edges of the exposed rod's threads to catch or drag on the case neck. This causes false readings and triggers the alarm. My solution was to turn down, i.e. grind, the bottom 1.5" of the threaded rod to a smooth, smaller diameter that would easily slide inside the case mouths. Since grinding the threaded rod's ...

  • As good as factory

The quality is as good as factory. It has a led ,which the factory doesn't . Set up is quick and easy. The only thing it lacks is a 22 caliber powder check rod, which I used from my oem setup. It's half the price of oem and I would recommend this powder checker to anyone. I was very surprised at how fast it arrived in the mail.

  • Dillon style Powder check on RCBS PRO2000

I like the audible alarm and the red light is a plus but didn't want to put a Dillon part on an RCBS my 650 would be mad at me. I did have to drill a small hole to allow for the shaft to strike the shell plate other than that it was easy to install wish I could upload pictures. The die is plastic so is the locking nut tighten it there is a little flex in the threads other then that it's a good deal. If I need another I'd buy this.

  • Good powder check option.

Two things that could be a little better are: - The switch is significantly stiffer than the Dillon and requires more force to activate. You won't notice it whe cycling the machine but if you push it with you finger you can tell the difference. - The 3D printed push rod that connects with the shell plate is a delicate piece. I damaged the threads before I got it running. I was able to shim the machine screw with washers the proper length and it works fine. At some point I may have to make a new one from a long 1/4" bolt. - Keep in mind this item ships from Canada. If you're on the west coast of the US anywhere, the wait may be more than you're used to. This is a good option for a powder check. Keep in mind 3D printing is not a machined surface or an injection molded part. I ...
