The sequel to NES Play Action Football, Super Play Action Football looks a little better than its 8-bit counterpart, but it suffers from the same basic malady -- a three-quarter perspective that makes controls and passing awkward and gives players a too-small view of the field. Twenty-eight NFL teams are represented by their official logos, but, unlike the original game (which fielded eight teams sans the logos), there is no NFLPA license, meaning there are no real players represented. One clear advantage this game has over its predecessor is that the camera zooms out when a pass is thrown. The biggest disadvantage, however, is the lack of a four-player mode. Super Play Action Football has plenty of options, plays, and realistic attributes (such as diving, stiff arming, and twisting away from tackles), but its faults make it vastly inferior to Tecmo Super Bowl (and most every other 16-bit football game).

I'm sure this seller is very good at other media, but they are inexperienced at selling vinyl. Their description was this: "7 inch Vinyl." I sent 2 questions, asking about condition and got no response. Went ahead and ordered it. Arrived with no paper sleeve, loose in a cardboard box, which means that the record had sustained scratches en route. Seller did honor a refund, so that was good. If you're a vinyl collector, I'd give this seller a pass. But any other form of product I'm sure is great!

    Blast from the past

    I wasn't expecting the game to have good graphics or to be compelling. It was game that I played a lot "back in the day" and loved it.

    I'm sitting in my room jamming to music back in 1992 all over again

    It's very awesome to have this game again. Of course it pails in comparison to today's Madden but I had this game when I was a teen and I loved it. One very cool thing about this football game is the option to play NFL and college. I got this for nostalgic purposes more than anything but I have been playing it since I got it

    Great times!!!

    I've been waiting to play this game. It takes me back to my youth. Sure, the team names aren't real (for instance Florida State is St of Fla, and Texas is TX-Austin), but it still is a great game for it's time.

    Fun game to play when you doesn't want to play for long.

    Had this game when I was kid. I found the booklet when I do some cleaning so this is the reason that I bought it again. Very simple football game. easy to learn the football rule with that. It's not Madden, but all the NFL team are in + college & high school team. 3 difficulties to play.
