    Wonderful Trip for the Imagination

    This book takes you on a fantastic trip through the imagination. The craft used to describe the most outworldly things and experiences make it easy to imagine. The humour is unprecedented. This is all in all one of my favourite series of books ever.

    5 seminal works, plus an EasterEgg-What's Not to Love?

    I was first exposed to Douglas Adams' work with the BBC TV Production when it aired on PBS. I IMMEDIATELY sought him out; and my life has been greatly enriched by the experience. He is arguably one of the most naturally funny people who has ever lived; and this collection may well represent his magnum opus. Allowing yourself the time to read his work is a great breather from the workaday world; a chance to decompress and remember not take things too seriously. Especially digital watches.     The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

    There are 815 pages of unbelievable humor. I was first introduced to Douglas Adams and his guide thru BBC TV on Ch 3. the 2005 movie is a poor exercise in Americanizing British humor. I know have the book and the BBC DVD and I am enjoying both. The amazing thing is I only paid $1.00 for the book and it appears to be in "like new" condition. I am thoroughly ecstatically enjoying reading every page. I am currently on page 381. Being surrounded by Vogons all day, this book is a source of great relief. I can only say "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

    This book is great for a pleasant diversion from today's problems

    Douglas Adams had a great talent for humor. I find it impossible not to laugh out loud while reading this book. I purchased this as a gift for someone recovering from surgery to give him a mental lift and some happy moments. I think it is working.

    Great book, much reading to keep you entertained for months.

    I bought this book because I heard it was excellent and humorous. I loved the movie adaptation, and I wanted to read the entire Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy collection. I have not yet finished the book, but it is great so far. Compared to other versions of this book, I would say this is the best edition, because it contains all of the series from this author.
