  • London Quireboys- A Bit Of What You Fancy

This is the only release that this group did back in 1990 that is pretty good I must say. They had two singles "7 o'clock" and "Hey You" that are really good, I have them both on 7" singles, and these two songs add more commercial flare to this cd. They are considered hard rock, I saw them on MTV Headbangers Ball back in the day, but they do not sound as hard as Aerosmith or Kiss. What I mean by this is that they have a Phil Lewis (L.A. Guns) vocal sound and look about them, to some degree, but their guitar sound is not as hard as say Aerosmith or Kiss. That is the reason that I have to give this a four, because they do not sound as hard as their fellow hard rockers from 1990, or even today. They faded away when the grunge sound came out not too soon after this cd was released, so ...

  • Depending on just what you might fancy.

This is a good, solid effort that starts off with the great partying rocker "7 O'clock." Bucking the trend in music at the time, Hair Metal, The London Choir Boys harken back to a blusier style of rock and roll. Obvious comparisons are made to the Small Faces and Humble Pie. A bit looser and swaggering than the Black Crowes with more polish than the Rolling Stones (blasphemy!) at their best, guitars, vocals and rhythm section wise but not in songwriting. It all adds up to pretty damn good, and, depending on just what you might fancy, excellent.

  • If this is the one I ordered, I enjoy my item.

It is a very nice copy,
