    Heil microphone

Microphone works great. It does not matter if you use it for vocals or instrument. Just plug it in and you will be surprised how it works. Thanks Nenad

  • Just OK - Meh.

Meh. Just OK. Not better than the same price Sennheiser e835, which has a smoother, more balanced sound across the frequency spectrum. They both feel good in the hand and about the same weight, but the finish on the Sennheiser seems more hard and durable. The PR-20 looks expensive, but does not sound better. So, good, but not overwhelmingly good and not better than other choices. The Samson R31s sounds nearly identical with better bass extension for a fraction of the cost. The $15 Musician's Gear M1000 sounds close for much less. Almost anything from Audio Technica for less money will sound as good or better (AT microphones have better clarity, articulation and treble extension) so, it is good, but not good enough to brag about, and not better than many less expensive options. ...

  • Very nice microphone- Good ...... not Great.

As a professional singer I have used several different dynamic microphones in live performances. Shure SM58 and Beta58, Audix OM5, Sennheiser e935 and e835, and now Heil PR20. For my voice texture and range, my go to microphone is the Senneiser e935. After using this Heil PR20, the Senn remains as my go to microphone. I am now using the Heil as my backup however; whereas the Audix was my backup in the past. This is a very nice microphone, it just doesn’t cut through the mix quite as well as the Sennheiser e935 for my voice. I do like that the Heil (in white) does have the bling and it is lightweight.

  • Great for Broadcast and More

I've used a lot of microphones for television news gathering, general PA work, TV studio, and now for my radio morning show. The PR20 is a good omnidirectional mic for general purpose studio AND remote location broadcasts. Great value, too.

  • Very responsive microphone for vocals, clear, distinct.

Sound recordings through this microphone was very clear without any background noise.
