After good communication with the seller the problem was identified and solved. It would be nice if better information was provided about the installation and I definitely recommend having a spare zif cable handy in case of difficulty with connection like I had. The only other comment I can make is the iPod is slower to respond to commands but it works and has triple the previous capacity. thank you
