    Quality product

  • The lens suits 90% of my needs and I would purchase it all over again.

I needed a sharper and faster lens for my collection but wanted one that would cover a variety of needs so I didn't have to spend a fortune on various focal lengths. I owned the 18-55 kit lens, 55-300, 28mm f2, 50mm f2, 50mm f1.4, 135mm 2.8 lenses before I purchased the Tamron so I got experience with what focal lengths I liked for what purposes. I went back and forth between purchasing the 28-75 Tammy, 17-50 Tammy, pentax fa43, and a couple others. I spent months researching everything I could on the internet. I wanted something that would take great photos while out on the street, provide fast speeds for most lower light situations, offer great bokeh and sharpness for most portraits. I settled on this 28-75 lens. Overall I'm very pleased with my decision and would do it over again. ...

  • Excellent third party f/2.8 zoom lens for NIkon D-SLR

I have shot a lot of photos with this lens at f/2.8 (and other apertures, on my Nikon D300) since I bought it recently. I enjoy the short depth of view which gives the photos a very nice blur effect especially when zoomed to max 75mm. The blur looks very good and buttery. Lots of creative potential here. I have no complaints about the resolution/sharpness of the lens. Before I bought it I have studied the review on photozone.de which was also the reason why I opted for this lens. The built-in motor does a good job and the lens auto-focuses fast and precisely. I would not want to buy this lens without the motor as those are older models and I had a bad apple which I returned (thanks to PayPal buyer protection). The only minus is the limited zoom range at the lower end. Here I miss the gap ...

  • My first non-Nikon and new favorite lens

I cannot say enough about this lens. I was nervous about purchasing a non-Nikon lens and I had almost gone with the Nikon 35-70 f2.8 instead. I took a chance on this Tamron 28-75 f2.8 (the one without the internal motor) and I have been thrilled. It hardly comes off my camera and I have taken some of the best images of my life with it. For the relatively inexpensive price, this is a bargain. Color is slightly more saturated than my other Nikon lenses and the focus is as quick and accurate as any Nikon I own. Between this lens and my Nikon 80-200 f2.8, I have most situations covered with my D90 camera. I would recommend this lens wholeheartedly.

  • Tamron 28-75, my best lens I think

I bought this Tamron 28-75 2.8 XRDiLD and I am very happy with it. It is very, very, very sharp at 4 and 5.6 (35mm and 60mm 5.6 is wonderful). At 2.8 it is good too and I think that not only for the price, but for what it shows too, is a very good, a great lens. This is the sharpest I have, even more or equal +- than my 50mm 1.8. All photo frame appears clear, sharp, nice colours, brillant. What I would like is that it were 18-75 :) but 28 it is not short for me. I don´t like shooting wide angle too much. I prefer portraits and middle range, so this lens is wonderful for the kind of photos that I like. The size is not too much large. Weight is good for its size. I simply love this Tamron. Sorry for my bad english language. This lens I love.
