Solid performer and quiet.
I had my doubts about a cheap pump, but on a fixed income and after seeing this same model on many youtube videos in the UK and Australia decided the odds were reasonable. I've used it twice so far on 5-gallon batches; first to constantly recirculate the water in my keggle while coming up to a boil and then throughout the boil followed by the trip through the chiller and into the carboy. Having taken online advice I mounted it on a small board with a 5" (approx) computer-type 12V fan behind it because in my first tests I found it did heat up, but the small fan was all it needed to keep very cool. It's very quiet compared to the chuggers and marches and the whirlpool produced, while less than these models, was fully adequate to keep the outer few inches around the keggle well clear of ... I fully intend to buy another one as soon as I can afford it. It does struggle a bit with air-pockets, but I released my camlock while holding it mostly in place to purge the air at the input and only lost a few drops before it regained suction (the air that was trapped in my counterflow chiller)...I intend to put in a tee with a cheap ball-valve for purging in future. I am saving up for a blichmann riptide, but am now in absolutely no rush to do so as this thing serves like a soldier. : )
