About this product

Product Information

This amusing, darkly comic tale follows CIA agent Jack McCall (Matthew Modine) and a chimpanzee that he attempts to liberate from a testing lab. Named Clemens, the chimp has been trained in martial arts combat, as part of a program designed to turn the creatures into fearsome fighting machines. Naturally this leads to plenty of slapstick moments between Modine and the chimp, especially when they seek refuge in the home of a boy and his mother as the owners of the lab hotfoot it after the escaped primate. A hugely enjoyable family film, FUNKY MONKEY is a loveable romp packed full of simian charm.

    Strange title for an odd, but typical childrens movie

    truthfully i did not care for this movie but more importantly my 4 yr old grandson thought it was somewhat entertaining--it took a few times of watching it for him to actually sit and watch it from beginning to end--my reasoning for purchasing this was that i thought it was supposed to be the same kind of movie as "Looney Tunes: Back in Action".--- i will learn, i hope--i did like the premise of the story alot,just wish it had been made a little more understandable for children

    cute really good for kids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I liked the whole movie it was really cute there is nothing that i can say about it that i don't like. We bought this movie because it is a kid movie and my son watched it from a video store and he really really really did like it. It has a lot of funny parts that will keep you laughing this is a must for a kids. i hope you buy it it is worth it.

    Not Just For Kids

    This movie will entertain you the entire time. From beginning to end you will totally enjoy it. You will enjoy the action and laughter throughout the entire movie. I watched this with my three year old Grand daughter for which I purchased this for. She enjoyed this probably as much as Grandpa and Grandma did. Very much worth the price, and how many times have you spent more for a total flop. Buy this you won't regret it.

    DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Looked like a funny movie but was VERY "D" class movie and acting. Matthew Modine was LOUSY in this. Donated it to my local Library. Do NOT recommend this.
