Careful if you’re using oil based polyurethane though, I ran into some problems with air bubbles forming under the decal after I attempted to spray over it. Could be a technique issue on my part or just a compatibility issue with the type of finish I was using. Also worth mentioning that the substrate the lettering is printed on is soluble in lacquer thinner, so it will melt right into nitrocellulose, but is not soluble in the solvents used with oil or water based poly.
