Following the path of the first two games in the series, Way of the Samurai 3 is an action-oriented adventure of mortal combat and moral choices. As in the original, the player takes the role of a hugely influential character in a larger story, whose personal choices and actions, and even inactions, can steer the plot toward any of more than 15 different possible endings. Battle is central to the play of the game, with a variety of fighting styles and combo maneuvers for close combat, often against multiple enemies at once. Strong elements of story-based role-playing, including robust dialog trees, complex diplomatic option, and reputation rewards, also emphasize the player's influence over the way the warrior's tale plays out. As the story develops, the player's character can gradually make a name for himself as a noble protector, a fearsome bandit, or a mysterious, aloof wanderer. A weapon customization system is built into the adventure, as players can collect hundreds of different parts hidden throughout the game world and use them to assemble specialized armaments. As were the first two games in the Way of the Samurai series, the third adventure is presented with unflinching depictions of violent combat, and without any sentimental game world advantages toward one moral decision over another.

    I think I'm keeping my copy.. there you have it.

    I'm not going to re-iterate what everyone has said.. however, I will add my two cents to this game.. FUN! Overall, this game is just plain fun.. there are alot of mini-games and ways to play this game. If you enjoy grinding out experience points and enjoy the nuances of game fighting like soul caliber and the running around and fighting random people (every now and then) this game is for you! Gameplay- 4 st*rs - alot of the buttons are interlaced into the ui system Story- 4.25 st*rs - pretty awesome.. interesting how you can manipulate the ending. Great background story with the warring clans Graphics- 3.5 - I gave the graphics a slide because the gameplay and mechanics are fun.. The graphics get the job done.. enough. A few things of note: If you have the time.. to GRIND.. this game ...

    Good game good fun good price.

    I bought it for my son because we had the other older versions and he liked them, this is a great game also if your into samurai warrior games. I like to play it too and I would buy it again if it got damaged or lost or well yo get the picture. I don't know that I did not like something about it unless you could make it longer with more interaction between the opponents. Its as good or better than any other games out there.

    Great game, if you liked the first two youll enjoy this

    Like: The combat system and the different levels of difficulty. My favorite is instant kill/death mode (1 hit kill makes for realism and entertainment) Love: The story itself, the new weapon choices and much easier access to custom weapons. Dislike: Now that I have beaten this game and I have to hope the company decides to make another Way of the Samurai.
