The SD2IEC device works like a charm.The package included a 128GB SD card, with adapter, and also two jumpers + an allen key (which I don't need now, but might do in the future).
The items came in 3 anti-static bags and everything well packaged, including instructions to download the manuals.

Item is as listed if used on it's own, but turns out if you have other devices like floppy drive and/or a Printer on the Serial BUS those devices have to all be powered up as well for it to work. Not very convenient. At least on my C64.
