I bought this tach for AMC Rebel Machine, but it will only work when the headlights are on, when the headlights are shut off the tach dies. I contacted pertronix as recommended in the description and placed the inline resistor. I contacted parts place support who had no answer for why it only works when lights are on. They basically said it’s made for points type ignition, and had no corrective action. Overall, it looks nice. It also doesn’t have a heater port as described.
