Beyond a toy for me
I bought this to use with my Deeper fish finder and I believe I found just the right boat to use with it. It’s compact, the mounting screw on the bow of the boat allows for the easy modification point to screw on the Deeper. I was able to survey my favorite city fishing spot in a fraction of the time. I would recommend taking the boat apart and use some silicone or gasket adhesive to better waterproof the external steering mount as well as the rest of the external seams. The ESC could use a more secure and elevated mount as well since it is only water resistant.I bought this to use with my Deeper fish finder and I believe I found just the right boat to use with it. It's fun, but the rudder servo sometimes jams
Super fun, not that fast, but you can cruise over submerged rocks and logs in the creek because it hasn't an exposed rudder or prop. It sometimes sucks up air, but you just let off the throttle and it starts the jet again. After about 2 packs, I had an issue where the rudder servo would jam either left or right. Under inspection, it's clear that the limit of servo is physically blocked due to the lack of clearance around the jet pivot area. This can be corrected by trimming the jet/rudder so that it clears under hard rudder, or simply move the push rod to a lower position on the servo horn.Super fun, not that fast, but you can cruise over submerged rocks and logs in the creek because it hasn't an exposed rudder or prop. great boat
this little boat is fun , one review said his battery shorted out ...this is because the battery sits up against the motor . the terminal on the motor could rub thru the battery case and short out , so just put a peice of foam between the battery and the motor . The potential problem solved! I love the boat.
