Good Flash for older Canon Cameras

Product was bought to use with an older model camera, it performs all compatible functions related to that series.

    Know your Canon types!

The unit as received appears to be fully functional. I don't know what would be "easy" to different levels of users. Can't answer this. I don't know how to answer second question. An autoflash varies output depending on variables. What is "quickly"? Depends on battery level, and how much it discharged when it fired, which is very variable. You have to know Canon camera types and Speedlite flash types. I bought this EZ-series unit to use with early EOS film SLRs, (650, 620, 630) which combined with this flash do A-TTL metering. DON'T get an EZ-series flash to use with newer EOS film models or EOS digital cameras. They all require an EX-series flash to do TTL metering. An EZ flash can only be used in manual mode on EOS digital and late-model EOS film cameras.

  • Made for everlasting.

I bought it to learn how to use flash in a dark room. This model is an old type, but many pieces working well till nowdays. It can not accept full automatic mode with my canon 600d, but in manual mode absolutely useable, and the flash's focus is working well and automatically on manual mode also. So with this flash and a new style digit camera is a good choice to really learn how to use a flash.

  • Perfect Flash for Cameras produced during the 1990's

For its age, the flash works very well and has a high light output.

  • Good if you are an amateur photographer and likes to play with their gear.

Excellent to use with E-TTL cameras adjusting it manually and my Canon EOS Rebel T3 and T5 do activate the flash. But only when you set the Speedlite manually, eBay have it listed as it works fully in E-TTL but it doesn't work in auto mode. Still for a $40 Speedlite it takes good pictures if you play with the settings before going to the shoot. Not for every one.
