Excellent Farm Toy Resource Book
This reference book is excellent for the time period it was written. Not only does it provide slightly outdated pricing it also provide great pictures of most items. It is a great help when trying to identify older toys and I have also noted that it contains toys not included in more recent books. They may have been eliminated due to the increased number cataloged. I also have the 3rd Edition of this book. I contacted the contributing editor and found out that there not be a 4th Edition.This reference book is excellent for the time period it was written. The editor, Karen O'Brien and contributing editor, Kate Bossen put together toy manufacturers' brief histories, scale size information, history on early farm toy collectors and their contributions to the hobby, info on the National Farm Toy Museum and much more. Standard Catalog of Farm Toys
This is a very good book for all around prices of farm toys. I did notice however that the prices are very conservative, in value, perfect for buying an item, from somebody, but not the best for selling an item. This book is filled with hundreds of photos, which makes it ideal for taking to auctions, for exact identification of a particular item. Overall I would rate this book EXCELLENT

the pictures need to be in color.how else are you to know what the exact original colors were?In that respect the book is poor.Also,if you are going this far you need to publish a complete list of toy tractors made in the United States,not just the ones you consider noteworthy.There are many toy tractors worth hundreds of dollars that are not even mentioned in this book.
