In this computer-animated sequel to ICE AGE, prehistoric creatures face a new problem: their icy world is melting. Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), seemingly the last woolly mammoth on Earth, and his pals--a saber-toothed tiger named Diego (Denis Leary) and a sloth named Sid (John Leguizamo)--are perfectly content in their ice-covered valley. When con artist Fast Tony (Jay Leno) claims that their home will soon be underwater and the world is about to end, they think he's kidding. But to everyone's surprise, the shady fast talker is right. Manny, Diego, and Sid soon discover that the valley will flood in days. Following the advice of a vulture (Will Arnett) who is hoping for the worst, a bevy of animals begin to make their way to the end of the valley in search of a boat that will save them from the flood.En route, sad sack Manny is startled when he encounters another woolly mammoth, Ellie (Queen Latifah). As happy as Manny is to see another one of his kind, there's a problem: Ellie is convinced that she's a possum like her hyperactive brothers, Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck). And to make matters worse, the melting of the ice has released some ferocious sea creatures that had literally been frozen in time. Will Ellie finally realize that she's a gigantic woolly mammoth and not a pint-sized possum? Is it really the end of the world? Can Manny and the rest of the animals in the valley survive the impending flood? And will Manny be able to leave the past behind now that he knows he's not alone? Saber-tooth squirrel Scrat and his quest for an acorn once again provide additional comic relief throughout the film.

    This Ice Cool Series Warms Up

    Manny the Mammoth makes new friends and gets a mate to spice up his solitary life. Like before, this disc had no flaws. Those who are not fans of this excellent animation series should reconsider taking another look at this. The most important part in the extra features are always the trailers for the film. It is included here along with the first Ice Age, Fantastic 4, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Planet of the Apes. Scrat's short No Time for Nuts is fun to watch taking our little critter through time with a time machine from a poor scientist from the future frozen in the ice. Also included are outtakes which are deleted scenes.

    It's Better The Second Time Around,

    This was HILLARIOUS!!! This was far better than the first movie. John Leguizamo was brilliant as usual, the perfect voice for Sid. And it was great having the voice of Queen Latifah as Ray Ramano's love interest. This movie was a comedy-lovers delight. And of course the squirrel, Scrat, was genius from day one. Every scene he's in is like watching a great silent movie. That actually requires a lot of skill on behalf of the storytellers and animators to create scenes without dialogue that are equally as entertaining and engaging as those with dialogue. The latter is one reason why the first "Ice Age" film distinguished itself. So the team at Blue Sky Studios should be congratulated. This is a sharp movie. No sophomore slump. I have the first one on DVD and I can't wait to get this ...

    Ice Age The Meltdown or Relief

    The animation is top notch, and I just can't get enough of the realistic ice and water landscape. As with the first "Ice Age" movie it is Scrat the acorn-obsessed rodent steals the laughs with his hilarious attempts at obtaining an acorn. This is one piece of animation that doesn't rely too much on sight gags, of spoofing current affairs, but one filled with more witty dialogue and kept on an even keel with its interesting storyline. This sequel is as enjoyable as, if not better, than the original. In today’s RUSH RUSH world and just about every movie out there filled with obscenity’s and BloodnGutz This is a relief. And all out Great Family Movie. Recommended this Highly

    Ice Age 2 is better than any other Ice Age!

    Ice Age 2 is my favorite ice age of all. the comedy is great for adults, the animation is amazing, and they have a great cast. The animation has gotten way better from the first one, we meet more characters which add such a good mix to everything and Scrat is the cutest fucking thins i have ever seen!
